I am well on my way to becoming a Midwife and I am loving it. I started applying to the UBC Midwifery program in 2015 and was accepted in 2017. For anyone thinking about going into Midwifery, know that it is a competitive program that sees over 200 people apply each year while only 20 get accepted. First year was all about theory and saw me spending most of my days on the beautiful grounds of UBC. It was tough being a full time student and a mom while still working part time but somehow my family and I got through it. I am now about to complete my 1st term of my second year which has been amazing. Second year is all about getting into clinic and attending births and really connecting with clients which I dearly missed last year. I am so grateful to the amazing families who have allowed me to be a part of their journey.

AuthorI am a mother to 2 beautiful girls who are the light of my life. Together with my husband and our cocker spaniel Tucker we live a life of love. I am a doula who has logged close to 500 hours with moms during pregnancy and postpartum, I am a childbirth educator and a prenatal yoga instructor. I love all aspects of pregnancy, birth and beyond and think support is the best thing you can have during this time. Categories
